Carl Grimes, HHS CIEC, has been a private consultant for over 25 years specializing in people who are reactive in buildings and is currently the Director of Healthy Homes at Hayward Score. He is past President of IAQA and a past VP of Practice of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate. Carl was on the committee that wrote the first S520 mold standard, the ASHRAE Mold Position Document, and is currently the Chair of the SGPC10 workgroup on defining “health.” He chaired the previous IAQA Home Healthy committee and led the group that wrote the Healthy Home Assessment: Principles and Practice along with the National Center for Healthy Homes and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He is a frequent presenter nationally and internationally and author of the book Starting Points for a Healthy Habitat.
